I haven't yet found any software which allows either recording to a sensible video format or, preferably, streaming a sensible video format to HTTP clients. I tried 'dvr', which is apparently KDE software, but it had problems with codecs or something and the preview window wasn't displaying anything. camorama seems to capture and display the video fine, but doesn't have recording functionality other than "take a snapshot every N minutes". Any suggestions?
