Getting Started

1. Create a Music folder in your Home directory (*may already exist)
   • Places > Home Folder > Right Click > Create Folder > Name the folder "Music"

Rip Some CD's

Insert your music CD and this windows pops up

First Time Setup

• Click Edit > Preferences
• Change the Music Folder to the "music" folder we just created in your Home Folder.
• Change any other settings you see fit the click Close

Click Extract and the songs will be copied to the music folder on your hard drive.

Playing Music with Rhythmbox

Rhythmbox sports an easy to use interface and support for popular music formats such as MP3 and OGG. The First Run Wizard will setup up your music library and import music on your computer.

Burning Music CD's

Burning Music CD's with Rhythmbox

Start up Rhythmbox and put the songs you want to burn into the Queu
Click Create Audio CD...



Insert a blank audio CD and click Create

Burning Music CD's with Serpentine Audio CD Creator

Insert a blank audio CD and the following window pops up...
Click Make Audio CD



Add music files with the +Add button and click Write to Disc to create your audio CD
