Printers that Just Work

HP - Most new and older HP printers work without any problem. You can even take advantage of advanced features such as scanning, faxing, and copying on many new multifuntion devices. Ubuntu Breezy includes the free hpijs driver which supports advanced features on new HP printers.
Epson printers are known to work well with most Linux distributions. Either the free Gimp-Print driver or Epson's proprietary Photo Image Print System (PIPS) driver can be used.
